As a fan of Hogarth’s, I don’t know if I agree. If we can take engravings like his and Blake’s seriously, I think we can take the comic books seriously, too. :)
Oh, I agree—tongue was firmly in cheek! Just last night I was getting my comics collection into the shelves of my new writing room.
My tongue was in my cheek, too, but I think it was fighting my foot for space. I need to work on my irony.
